Mentors

There is something to be gained by trying to better yourself in life. Many look for ways to do this. They’ll read books, listen to podcasts or TED talks, or attend workshops or seminars. Some will search out that “hero”, a mentor that they can shadow.

In doing of all this, people want to be better employees or employers. What about being a better husband or better mother? A better dad or mom?

At the Plymouth Church of Christ, where I serve as Family Minister, our leadership is committed to helping families grow. We want our men in families to be godly husbands and fathers. We want our women in families to be godly wives and mothers.

Because of this commitment to family and marriages, we are launching a ministry will mentor/disciple couples in the marriage relationship. In the fall 2017, four couples went through marriage mentor training. Together the four couples bring over 100 years of married life. They are here to offer support and guidance.

I pray this will help strengthen our church family as we work together to strengthen the “domestic church” families.

Be blessed and be a blessing!
