Back to School – Part

Last week, we talked about finding our identity in the God who created us. God created for His work with in us, each of us.

I know you’re saying, “I get it!! We’re created to do good things for God!” Yes! But now, it’s understanding how that fits in with those around us. The Apostle Paul put it this way, “For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.” (Romans 12:4-6)

We are a PART of a body that functions to celebrate God’s creation. There are various colors in God’s creation, various personalities, and various gifts. And what God calls us to is to use those gifts all together “to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:13)

So it’s not just that I have this life that God created me with. I use what God has given me to encourage the rest of the body of Christ and to equip others to serve so that all are drawn closer to God and we’re all part of the fullness of Christ!

This is a message our kids can hear daily! They are one important part of God’s huge mission in their life!! Go out and be Jesus to others . . . because that’s how God made you!

Be blessed and be a blessing!
