Go to DisneyWorld or DisneyLand. As soon as you get to the park, get in line for the “Small World” ride. The reason, you’ll love it! The second reason is you’ll be singing the song the rest of the day!! (Yep! Now you’re singing it!!)
In reality, it truly is a small world. And being in Christ, that reality hits even more. Because in this wide world that we are blessed to live on, we are connected to people all over the world. Facebook helps with this, but it really is true.
As I think about this, I’m reminded of this past Monday. My granddaughter was admitted for surgery at University of Michigan Mott Children’s Hospital to begin the repair of her heart. At six weeks old, this is a scary adventure to be on for all of us in the family.
As the surgery was taking place, my wife and I, her parents and the other grandparents talked about how much prayer was going up for her. There were people literally all over the world praying for our little girl. For the most part, we didn’t know who. We did know that our friends and family were praying as well as friends and family of our friends and family. Even before she was taken back, we had a prayer as a family and two of her doctors prayed with us!!
It reminds me that we don’t do this life alone! Because the world would seem so much larger. But we are all part of a big SMALL world in Christ Jesus.
Romans 12:4-6 – “For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.”
Be blessed and be a blessing!!
What a blessing to be part of God’s family.
