I love songs! I love music! I love singing!
If you come by my office at any point, ride in my car, and even if I’m working outside these days, music is playing!
Music triggers emotions! Sometimes a song will trigger a pleasant emotion. Sometimes a song will trigger a sad memory. That’s why the Psalms are essential to our own voice of praise. In most cases, the psalmist is put in to words and music what we are feeling. I’m challenging myself to read through the Psalms again. Join me in the journey.
For several years, I have used this song to send out our graduates. It is performed by Lady Antebellum and Jim Brickman. You can check out the YouTube video.
May the angels protect you
Trouble neglect you
And heaven accept you when it’s time to go home
May you always have plenty
The glass never empty
Know in your belly
You’re never alone
May your tears come from laughing
You find friends worth having
As every year passes
They mean more than gold
May you win and stay humble
Smile more than grumble
And know when you stumble
You’re never alone
Never alone
Never alone
I’ll be in every beat of your heart
When you face the unknown
Wherever you fly
This isn’t goodbye
My love will follow you, stay with you
Baby, you’re never alone
I have to be honest
As much as I wanted
I’m not gonna promise that cold winds won’t blow
So when hard times have found you
And your fears surround you
Wrap my love around you
You’re never alone
Never alone
Never alone
I’ll be in every beat of your heart
When you face the unknown
Wherever you fly
This isn’t goodbye
My love will follow you, stay with you
Baby, you’re never alone
My love will follow you, stay with you
Baby, you’re never alone
So when hard times have found you
And your fears surround you
Wrap my love around you
You’re never alone
Maybe you need to hear that you are never alone! Maybe you know someone who may to need to hear this! As we continue to live this life, I pray that you know that you are never alone . . . at least as long as I can help!
Be blessed and be a blessing!
