Thank God for the Church

As we enter our final week of reflection, we turn our hearts to giving thanks for the gift of the Church—God’s people, gathered, called, and united in Christ. The Church is not simply an institution, but a family shaped by God’s grace and strengthened by His Spirit.

God promises to give His people shepherds who will lead with knowledge and understanding (Jeremiah 3:15). He has formed us into one body with many members, each belonging to one another and each essential to His work (Romans 12:4–5). Scripture calls us to honor and appreciate those who labor among us and lead us faithfully (1 Thessalonians 5:12–13; 1 Timothy 5:17–18).

As the body of Christ, we live out our gratitude by doing everything in the name of the Lord Jesus—serving, encouraging, worshiping, and loving one another with thankful hearts (Colossians 3:17).

This week, let us give thanks for the Church: for the unity we share, the leaders who shepherd us, the members who serve faithfully, and the grace of Christ that binds us together. The Church is God’s gift to us, and through it, He continues to shape and strengthen our lives.

Prayer:
Lord, we thank You for the gift of Your Church.
Thank You for the leaders who shepherd us,
the members who serve faithfully,
and the unity we share in Christ.
Help us to honor one another,
serve with grateful hearts,
and do everything in the name of Jesus,
giving thanks to You in all things.
Amen.
