You probably never heard of Clyde Bowden or Jason Barney. I never had until I was shown a video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CuGZDqgiosE) a couple of years ago. In 2013, these two Christian musicians and composers teamed up with conservative radio host, Glenn Beck to produce one of my favorite Christmas albums.
Believe Again is a fantastic arrangement of various artists and musicians to create this homestyle, organic sound. This is one of those albums that you play on Christmas Eve, sitting in your comfy chair, sipping hot cocoa while watching the snow gently fall on the ground.
Like most Christmas albums by artists, there are some old faithfuls that have a new arrangement to them: Go Tell It on the Mountain, Away In a Manger, I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day, Angels We Have Heard on High (my favorite) to name a few.
Once you hear those, you get drawn into the rest of the album as well. There are songs that connect to the heart of God, tug on your heart as you listen and are drawn into the story of Christmas.
Believe – a declaration of faith in song form. “I can see the truth / The light of your love this Christmas / I can feel the warmth / The fire within that heart / I can feel the joy / In the light of your love this Christmas / Til the whole world hears / Til the whole world hears / Til the whole world hears your name / I will believe”
Christmas with You – a wonderful song of two people wanting to spend Christmas with each other
Home for Christmas Eve – again, a song of wanting to spend Christmas with the people you love – home!
So I’ve introduced a second album that I will listen to long before the Christmas season starts. But I love the arrangements and the music produced in this album. I hope you enjoy it as well!
Be blessed in your believing! Be a blessing to others along the way!
